Independent Learning is a dangerous thing
So during my undergrad while doing a project for Communication 101 course or something like that it surprised me to find out that the book was actually inspired by Abdul Baha.
A false Prophet. An apostate. What’s interesting is his connection to Esperanto an artificially created language with the aim of making it the lingua franca of the world. The so-called Universal Language.
After almost a decade and a half I don’t remember the details but in that project I tried to draw a parallel between AllTongue and technologies similar to Google Translate.Yet Esperanto failed to take place as a lingua franca worldwide. The tech did progress though. And it came with its own set of legal and ethical problems. Like that requirement of citing AI as co-author.
In the midst of all of these it absolutely fascinates me to notice how the language of the Qur’an became a lingua franca among the Muslims throughout the world. Up until the start of colonization the Qur’anic Arabic was the 2nd language adopted by ALL Muslims. Yet we didn’t face these troubles of copyright claims, racial-linguistic superiority etc. For there is a very clear distinction between the language of the Arabs and the language of the Qur’an.
In any case, there are two issues that I’m trying to draw your attention to.
- The dangers of Misreading
- Language as a vehicle of manipulation.
I was absolutely taken aback to know that Alice in the Wonderland was preaching pan-theism under the hood. And only yesterday I came to know of Abul Baha’s British connection.
And his religious malaise in the Ottoman land.
The stark similarity between the Bahais and the Qadianis is noteworthy. Both somehow begotten the title Mirza, both developed around the Messianic concept, both received the colonial British backing. If you pay attention you’ll notice that the scheme to develop a new religion, a new universal language is apparent in the cultural and organizational activities of the colonial powers. Remember the language of Ka’a in TBBT? I have started to suspect that it might have some underlying theological framework of the Godless. The resurgence of Nietzsche and Heidegger as some kind of secular prophets among the westerners, their desperate attempts to cleanse them off of Nazi ideology ominously indicates to the scheme.
So beware of what your read. And beware of the Dajjalic fitna. Understand that things are not always what they seem.
